Three Points of Contact Rule

Three Points of Contact Rule

The three points of contact rule is a simple reminder and guideline for working safely at heights.

Whether you are into DIY home improvements, renovating or performing maintenance work on your property, or working as a professional tradesperson, the three (3) point rule is always useful.

Maintain contact with one hand and two feet, or two hands and one foot, when climbing or descending ladders, step ladders, vehicles, and equipment. You may need two feet and your body at times.

Maintaining these simple three points of contact while climbing can help you avoid slips and falls, and is applicable to the installation of our DartAnt Flexible Curtain Tracks, where you may need to work at height.
